States they live in: The Wren is common throughout New England and parts of the United States. The House Wren is the most common or best known of all Wren's. It has a brownish color but lacks any distinct head markings. Other known Wren's that are common in New England are the Winter Wren, Marsh Wren and the Carolina Wren.
Most common months: The Carolina Wren makes southern New England its home during winter; however it has often been seen living there year round. Parts of southern NH, ME, VT may also see Wren's year round. The House Wren, Winter Wren and Marsh Wren are most common during the spring and summer months throughout all of New England.
Feeding habits: They use their long bill to probe for insects, also may eat fruit such as berries, and seeds. They will also feed on peanuts and suet.
